She is a woman… just very frugal. When I met her in Mexico she was supporting two daughters alone on $40 a week.

I hated those days. Probably why I get what I want when I feel I need it, now. My parents were misers too!

Took my Mom to Nordstrom to buy shoes this year —she will spend money on shoes because she’s always had to to get them to fit.

Huge shoe department, they had exactly 3 pairs that were her size. 2 fit the way she liked and she didn’t like either pair.

Finally she settled on the New Balance, we ordered them and she kept them.

This whole process took weeks. I called around to all the specialty stores-NOTHING in her size.
