No. That word should die out (as should “Tsiganologie”). But Roma includes Sinti. Sinti are a sub-group of Roma. Mentioning Sinti next to Roma is just a way of elevating that special sub-group within the larger group.

It’s like saying “Bavarians and Germans” or “Texans and Americans”.

I hope “Gypsies” won’t become politically incorrect.
