Chas Freeman's Paranoid Statement

re: #301 Hanoch

One can make a reasonable inference that you are dealing with an anti-semite (1) when he demonizes Jews for having the audacity to defend themselves against Arab terrorism (i.e., the so-called “brutal oppression of the Palestinians by an Israeli occupation”) and (2) he then blames the wide-spread negative reaction to his nomination on an all-powerful conspiracy that has a total grip on US foreign policy (i.e., in Freeman’s view, the Jews), especially when much of the criticism of Freeman had nothing whatsoever to do with his views on Israel.

that’s reasonable - I wonder though if it is a bit dangerous to draw inference though from such statements - it’s sort of like when people label someone a racist because they are opposed to affirmative action. I think it is fair to point out though too that, at least in what I saw, he never said anything about Jews, but about Israel - which are probably separable in that context. Anyway thanks for replying.
