As the child of a service person, I could not agree more. Service people interact with people of all backgrounds on a daily basis. Big businessmen do not.

Same thing with idiots fresh out of business school that get promoted into management while having never been on the front lines at all. There’s reason those of us who HAVE worked our way up can’t fucking stand people like that.

I used to work for a guy who falls into this mold He adamantly REFUSED to help us front line service people with ANYTHING. He felt such work was beneath him. You don’t know how badly I wanted to kick him in the nuts the day I quit that job.
