Yeah, it’s stupid. Seriously, there are so many good things that could come out of increased mass transit. I simply don’t understand this parat of the ideology at all. I mean some people are gonna have to drive but if you can cut down the number of drivers on the road and thus decrease traffic that would be great.

it’s more of that sabotage ideology. It’s unambiguously a GOOD THING to have a solid mass transit network. But it’s against the interests of the guys writing the checks for the party, so commuters get the shaft.
