Mine was out for 12 days after the 2008 ice storm, so I sympathize.

Places to my north and west got whacked this time, but my town in Central MA was lucky. Driving around I can see it was a close call: trees fallen away from power lines, lots of branches down, saplings split, etc.

Someone posted a satellite photo of North America taken at night during the worst of it last week … The whole northeast looked completely blackened.
