I get the impression that there are verifiable connections but what I still don’t see is that Rick Warren is directly responsible for the anti-gay law. He refused to denounce it but did he write it? Did his church write it? He refususes to denounce it, which is bad enough, but I’m not sure if he’s directly responsible.

Maybe they feel he should make a statement because he’s a spiritual leader of sorts for America - by popular demand as he was crowned “the American Pope” no doubt with the help of Oprah Winfrey. I watched Daniel Dennett’s “Breaking the Spell” last night so maybe there’s an evolutionary reason behind them even asking him to comment on Uganda.

Has there been an official condemnation from the State Department?
