The Wrecking Crew, as it turned out played on nearly all my favorite albums as a kid, from the Association to the Beach Boys to Herb Alpert, Sonny and Cher, Mamas and the Papas, Fifth Dimension, Glen Campbell (who was a member)
basically the soundtrack of my childhood was comprised of their backing tracks to various singers.
Carol Kaye tells a story in which she played the session for āGood Vibrationsā at one studio in the morning, broke for lunch, then went to another studio to record āStrangers In The Night.ā
I believe Glen Campbell did both of those sessions, too. Thatās a hell of a way to make a living.
