I know the claim is dubious given the source but it would be so on brand for this fucked up, corrupt administration to shoot down one of our own drones then try to blame it on Iran as a pretense for a war.

Or that our expensive modern automatic technology is incapable of recognizing one of our own drones and shot it down by accident
