They do in Iowa, which is now a tossup state and has an important Senate race.

I know. But it all comes down (IMHO) to a fundamental problem with American politics. Democrats appeal to the voters’ interests, Republicans appeal to their prejudices. And which side wins out isn’t always predictable.
