Alexei Navalny, the leader of the opposition party, was arrested immediately upon his return to Russia following his recovery from being poisoned.

I don’t suppose it helps that he’s being imprisoned essentially for violating his parole — imposed by the Russian government — because he left the country for treatment after being poisoned by the Russian government.
