Or they could just let DACA end and not go out and deport anyone, but let them move back into the shadows like they were before DACA. Then they could screw a whole bunch of people without providing the visuals and stories of people being rounded up.

Probably the worst possible scenario, because they would become be reluctant to seek help from police when victimized by racists and criminals. Also, without DACA protections they will lose their work permits and thus jobs, putting a huge sudden strain on the economy. No jobs means no health insurance, so they’ll go to ERs and get treatment that they won’t be able to pay for so health care costs for everyone go up more. It’d be bad all around.
