My second reaction is, I never realized you could get so rich by posting videos on YouTube.

My info may be way out of date, but ISTR you’d get 1/10 of 1¢ for every view (assuming there’s an ad to start your clip). So $1000 for every million views. And however many millions of fans, they’re watching several clips a week at minimum.

Plus, the big social media stars also get good money for product placement in their clips, and personal appearances, and maybe they’re doing mail-order merch.
