re: #30 Destro

I would be more than willing to continue a conversation on a thread that is of topic. You brought this up because I said I don’t believe in the supernatural.

As for the death penalty being on the books and you bringing up murder most vile as an act that justifies the death penalty. That’s an easy one to throw out.

What about the stuff that the calls for the death penalty for stuff like apostasy, homosexuality, etc.

That is shifting the goal post. My comments are completely on target.

You said: any religion that calls for the death penalty in its sacred laws or writtings or by one of its ‘holy men’ for violating some rule

Judaism is a religion.

It calls for the death penalty for violating some rules in its writings.

I gave you a case that would violate Jewish law and demand the death penalty.

All of your conditions have been met.

So is that case mockable and in need of shunning from secular society?

And yet you dodge the question.

You wisely tried to dodge it, but a more mature person might have said, “ok you are right, I spoke too harshly too soon when angry sorry etc…”

As to homosexuality, the short answer is that it is impossible to convict and the death penalty would be moot. The long answer can wait, because you should be smart enough to see that the point here, the real point, is about you chilling out and not being so petulant.
