Let us give thanks for gravity, that makes it hard to lob stuff around the world.

But as for “ship”, all they would need is a big barge, easy to build, that could be towed someplace. Or, any oil tanker, or large container ship.

Would that affect the missile’s “accuracy”? Dunno. I suspect it affects mostly whether the missile will dump into the water, but anything going long distances and hitting a target needs to have in-flight adjustments. It’s probably doable, if it matters. Because after all, put the warhead in a container and ship it to Long Beach, and voila, delivery. With a little luck, maybe Des Moines.

I launched surface to air missiles in the Navy, and although it’s physically possible to launch something that size from a platform, the platform would have to be so ginormous, it wouldn’t even be funny.

When we launched, initial position of the missile in 3D space were sent to it, and course corrections are made during flight.
