re: #304 Fat Bastard Vegetarian

It’s not a “manly” thing, I drive 70 thousand miles a year. I drive all of the time when we’re together, unless the drive is too short to justify adjusting the seats (she’s over a foot shorter than me). I always feel like I’m going to fall out of the car when I’m riding, whoever’s driving.

So, we’d never switch off.

My father was like that on family trips, though my mother drove short shifts on some of the longer day drives (e.g. crossing the Great Flatness).

Doing a drive from Pittsburgh - Edmonton (and back via northern NY state) my mother and I shifted off every hour or two. My brother and I did the same on a couple of drives, one from central Oregon to northern Colorado.

Per not being a good passenger my sister-in-law is like that. Unless she is driving any sort of curvy road travel makes her carsick. Unfortunately for me being in the passenger seat when she drives makes me fear for my life.
