Access to these funding sources is, in effect, the use of taxpayer dollars (in the form of guarantees and such for loans, and in the form of direct dollars, for federal grants). Purely religious institutions generally do not have access to these funds, so as to avoid state support of religion. The introduction of ideological purity tests for student groups is one big step toward the creation of fully-fledged ideological academies funded by the state. Very dangerous, indeed.
