How bad a disaster Iraq could be was obvious to me in 2003. Just as it was obvious to me in 2008 how bad a disaster Palin would be. Of course, in both cases there were people who didn’t listen to extremely plain facts before them for various reasons, be it partisanship or something else. But let’s not turn it into “nobody knew”.
