The thing about it is, and this might be why we find them so compelling, no superhero is truly perfect. Superman is a spoiled rotten dick. Iron Man is an asshole with daddy issues. Captain America thinks he knows better than everyone else because he’s America’s sweetheart. Batman thinks he’s prepared for literally any eventuality. All of them have some kind of flaw that helps us relate to them. If they had the perfect superhero, we’d all think he was boring.
