I think a large part of the reason that I don’t find Ludwig’s comments all that over the top is that very reason. The GOP embraces Limbaugh pretty tightly. Limbaugh is a race-baiter.

Like I said, I don’t think that one can ever call a whole party ‘racist’, but when people who are hugely important in and to that party say very racist things and get a free pass on it from the leadership, or when there is no leadership to castigate him for it, that really does tar the GOP as an entity. It does not tar every member.

I can’t disagree with you on that, but I wont’ back off from maintaining that Ludwig’s a grenade throwing troll either. He’s here to push buttons, not discuss or convince. That’s been evident for quite a while.
