I must confess that I got annoyed when some of my fellow liberals in the Bush years ragged on Jenna and Barbara for their underaged drinking. Yes, they probably did act immature but I did too and underaged drank. Plus I think both Barbara and especially Jenna seem like genuinely, down to earth people with good hearts. Their father was an awful President and I don’t approve of his rehabilitation in recent years but Laura and the girls are fine.

I wonder what some would have thought of Susan Ford… I seem to recall a story of her speeding out of the White House grounds in her Mustang without the Secret Service. And then she had the audacity to do the bump and the hustle at her senior prom (which happened to be held at the White House).
