I asked a couple days ago how many people complaining here are considering running for any position at all in their next local election. Crickets.

My conservative town elected a Democrat (the only one in my part of the state who ran for office) who is publicly known to be an atheist, edit erotic Romance novels, and run a sex blog.

Whining will not fix anything. Running for office might. If you can’t find someone who can.

If I weren’t where I am, I might - though, honestly, running for office is about the last thing a low social needs introvert with social anxiety wants to do.
