I dont see the huge difference i got thrashed for.

The difference is that Dominionists, with the exception of the Christian Reconstruction whackjobs, still want to operate within the basic confines that we have set up in this country with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

In a theocracy, religious laws are codified into the national constitution, such as when an Islamic country adopts Sharia law. For any part of the U.S. to resemble a theocracy, all of the restrictions in the Bible would have to be made law. Gays would have to be killed, mixed fibers would be outlawed, etc.
