Actually, now that I think about it, what Trump’s likely going to do is keep with the fiction that he has other means of getting the money, so he’ll tell his followers that the loss on this bill “doesn’t matter” because he decided weeks ago he couldn’t get the funding for the wall from Congress and so he’s secured funding elsewhere. That the money’s there, the wall’s being built, and the only people who have failed are Congressional Republicans who didn’t fight hard enough against the “radical Democrats” to get the funding America needs to build barriers to stop illegal immigration.
