South Dakota, Iowa, And Nebraska Join Forces To Pray Away Natural Disasters

Three governors in three Midwest states declared April 7th as a “Statewide Day of Prayer” in the wake of extreme floods.

Governors in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota all declared Sunday, April 7th as a “Statewide Day of Prayer” in the wake of horrendous flooding that swept the Midwest last month.

In an executive proclamation issued last week, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem declared Sunday, April 7th an official day of prayer across the state, KIMT3 News reports. “I am asking South Dakotans to join me in praying for the well-being of our state, our first responders, and all those who’ve been affected by this disaster,” she said.

Noem, an outspoken climate change denier, said that “extreme weather and extreme flooding” wreaked havoc across her state, and urged citizens to give victims and first responders their spiritual support.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts also made similar statements.
