I agree with you, and yet I think people should start making a lot of noise about ways Trump might try to steal the election. Bringing those things out in the open tends to make him back down.

even so, i’d prefer if these articles werent so breathless omg here’s whats gonna happen and were more - yes, it’s possible, but not really viable, let alone at all likely.

trump won 2016
it was a sort of perfect storm
he got lucky in lots of ways
he’s no svengali - he can’t just wave a hand and make things happen

further (and just guessing) there is something about these transparent power grab scenarios that i think would if carried out be distasteful to an awful lot of R’s

i think very few would would see it as legitimate.
