I am a proud member of the minority of men without degrees in that poll then.

The overwhelming majority of my township actually has college degrees. (Mostly in agriculture or business). In town, there are several people with eighth grade educations or less.

On my village board, I am the only person without a college degree. /anecdote

There’s always exceptions but I really do think post high school education prepares people for dealing with a wide range of people.
