I’m a big fan of the Walking Dead, but I have to leave my Biochemistry brain on the shelf. Otherwise, I start asking how anything that’s been dead more than a couple days can get its muscles to twitch, let alone move it around without falling down. I mean, this controlled toppling we call ‘walking’ is a highly complex process which takes a lot of coordination. Watch a baby’s feet when they first learn how to stand - they’re working HARD!

When Frodo and Sam are escaping Mount Doom at the end of Return of the King? Yeah, my husband got real upset with me the last time we watched it because I was snarking about the whole temperature aspect.

/to be fair, the end of that movie has the capability of reopening some emotional scars and had that night, so I was trying to distract myself.
