re: #323 slh2001

While I do not regret my earlier skepticism one bit (it does no one any good to blindly accept what’s handed to them without further analysis), it appears in this case I reached the wrong conclusion. Proof came today in a quote from the Police Academy confirming the course and apologizing for some of the wording in the catalog (as if that was the biggest problem). The police are certainly hitting another low here in terms of their disconnect with the people they claim to be serving.

Thank you to those who engaged with me in good faith in a discussion of the issue as I presented it. To those who chose to believe I had some sort of nefarious motive and attacked based on false assumptions, next time please think about attempting a reasoned response first. We don’t have to agree, but respect goes a long way.

Welcome, hatchling.

I wasn’t here yesterday, but I read the thread since then. Looks to me as though you may have ignored some reasoned responses [#297, #303, #314] and turned defensive when told that analysis was done before the article at the top here was posted. Now you call it an attack.

When respect is extended, respect is returned.
