Look closely at liberalism, it’s about avoiding the responsibility and consequences.

When the founders talked about Liberty, they were talking about a two sided coin. On one side Freedom, on the other responsibility. Responsibility means one owns the results of how one uses Liberty. Good or bad, it’s yours.

Liberals want License, do anything that feels good. They’ll take the good from the successful and redistribute it, and cushion anyone who fails.

In time everyone becomes dependent on the State, and the Oligarchy.
