There are times I hate myself. Many people who attempt suicide do so because they hate themselves. It’s a real phenomenon. If my memory is correct, D_F has stated he hates himself on occasion.

Clinical depression isn’t an imaginary situation, it negatively affects and kills many people.

What is this the Democratic Underground? Sorry but I find this all rather creepy. I can think of an awful lot of odd personalities around here and think singling out DF because “we” don’t agree with him politically to be totally fucked up.
