Sabot rounds make very small holes…..

I believe a sabot round works by spraying molten uranium inside an armored vehicle, with the molten uranium created by the force of the sabot round itself as it penetrates the vehicle. Since the concrete of the building is thinner and weaker than the armor protection of a tank or apc, how likely is it that the sabot round would even melt and might actually pass through the other side of the building?
