No, he lives in a different world. He thinks that at 5’7” and slightly built, he could be a target for some, I guess. The crime rate in Charlotte overall is higher than the national avg, has always been so, and like I said, he lives in a working class neighborhood that is usually quiet, but there have been some break-ins lately. And he’s never lived alone, he either lived with me or with his ex-wife, so that’s an entirely new thing also.

But your son isn’t unique. I see the same attitude from Americans all over the place. I’m not singling your son out, I’m just pointing out a common attitude I don’t share and frankly don’t understand.
