I don’t understand why Romney wants to throw Detroit under a bus. Would it really hurt him to say that he and Obama have similar views about the importance of the U.S. Auto industry? And given his family’s ties to Michigan, I can’t understand why he’s so actively against it.

And the statement that “Obama took [the auto makers]” into bankruptcy in this ad is particularly bizarre, given statements he made during the second debate.
