You nailed it. Conservatives are pretty much status quo, if it’s not broke don’t fix it guys. Liberals are let’s move forward types. We need conservatives to keep us away from a “fundamental change”, and liberals for some needed change. It’s a check and balance that’s working just fine. The country tries each side and they switch back to maintain the balance now and then.
