Huh? Again, can you actually explain? What happened was, faced by largely toothless straw gun sales, the ATF tried to make higher-level cases. During this, guns were ‘walked’ by one ATF agent, and some others ignored the problem or made other mistakes. As law-enforcement fuckups go, it’s not either extraordinary or, sadly, rare.
I do not agree we need more straw man laws. What we do need is better enforcement of the laws we do have. Only at that time should new laws be considered.
Heh. Anyway: ATF, whose responsibility it is to use existing laws, found that they couldn’t make cases with the current laws. They were enforcing them, but found they couldn’t make cases with them. So, aren’t we already at that time when new laws should be considered?
