I highly doubt that Stannis is dead. It would be the first death of that magnitude where the directors/writers left it to the viewers’ imagination.

Interesting point. But, if GRRM intended Stannis’ sacrifice of his daughter to mirror Agamemnon’s fate, Stannis sooner or later is going to die ignominiously.
