I want to get right out in front of one thing: Yes, these men are evil. Yes, they did an evil thing. Yes, I’m glad they’re being punished and that justice is being served. No, I am NOT okay with the conditions they may suffer during their lifetime of imprisonment. Nobody deserves to be degraded and broken, no matter how heinous their crimes. Maybe that makes me soft, but whatever. Prison jokes are rapidly becoming a hard line in the sand for me.
