Yep, for me it’s time to say it.

The vast majority of opposition to Obama among southern whites is because of hatred and racism, NOT policy.

Everything that has transpired since the election is totally in agreement with this statement.

And since Southern whites are the base of the GOP right now, it will/is becoming more apparent nationally.

They let these people run roughshod over the south with their dominionists, creationists, and other assorted freaks. And now the whole country knows.

Is there no opposition to Obama in states other than southern states?
If so, what is the basis for that opposition?

That’s a mighty broad brush you’re painting with. There may be some truth to what you say among some people in the south, but not all. Do you actually know any “southern whites”? Is it not possible in your mind for a southern white like, oh, say, myself, to be opposed to portions of Obama’s stated agenda and not opposed to Obama in general because of race? Is it so hard for you to believe that people like myself exist?
