I’d rather fine him and put him on probation. Guy’s not a criminal. A fool perhaps who tried to play hero too hard but not a criminal.

I’m fine with that, I just really think some charges would be appropriate, make it legal to disarm the guy and hold a suspended sentence or informal probation over him. Fortunately it’s not always a bad end. Just recently a CCW holder really did help the police catch a very bad guy who had been armed and ditched the gun.. The video has the part about armed neighbors helping but not in the write up.
