Also, the party’s purity tests haven’t aged well. Gonna take away your gunz, sacred semen, welfare queens, banning religion, beware of gay wedding cakes doesn’t resonate with the percentage of population they’ve previously banked on.

They market fear of all the awful things that will happen if they lose power, even when they’ve had the power. Their straw man scenarios, seething hatred and outright lies have caused the GOP to lose the trust of the majority. That will be their legacy.

Their base will never, ever, ever, go away, but I see it becoming marginalized as the country becomes more diverse and the lies are exposed.
