Counterweights are, by definition, not fair or balanced.

They can’t have it both ways…at least not forever. Either a counterweight, or fair and balanced, but not both.

Not that fair and balanced would necessarily be a good thing: just look at CNN these days, never willing to take a fucking stand on anything.
