I think it should be obvious here that the Republicans are just orchestrating this hearing not to defend or support fracking but to slam and criticize the EPA. Politics as usual. They’re not interested in the science. The long game here is this new bizarre GOP platform of destroying the EPA. Which of course was brought to you in large part by Richard Nixon.

You mean “progressive” Richard Nixon? Ya know Reagan was arguably just as crooked as Nixon but the reason why Republicans don’t embrace Nixon isn’t because Nixon was crooked, it’s because Nixon didn’t believe the government was totally evil.
