South Africa is still a constitutional republic. The people can very well elect a non-socialist ruling party if they wish come election day. Can’t say I like the ANC but they’ve been electing ANC candidates since Mandela. Mandela was president for only one term and wasn’t some communist stereotype that held onto power. Mandela was certainly no Che Guevara, Castro or Lenin type. If Mandela was a communist he was “communist lite.”
