I don’t understand why aging rockers continue to do this. Can’t they just turn it down, or does the continuing quest to stay in the spotlight just become embarrassing? Certainly McCartney has made enough money by now.

I don’t begrudge any artist of any age to keep doing what they love and are all about.

Take Willie Nelson as a damn fine example.

McCartney’s problem was he should have done something he could hit with his older voice. That would not be “Maybe I’m Amazed.”

If anything his ego got in the way of reality…but then McCartney was pretty good at doing just that when he was younger.
