I have a soft spot in my heart for metal, of all kinds, even if it’s not all my thing. (Iron Maiden RULES!!!) It’s helped my son deal with a lot of issues and we used it as part of sensory integration when he was much younger and couldn’t deal with loud noises. Now he keeps bugging us for tickets to Mayhem Festival every year, lol. The local metal community has accepted him, and while he’s not close with anyone in the scene, they don’t bully him and I can drop him off at a couple of local venues and know he’ll be ok.
