To date, nobody has been able to answer to my satisfaction the question “What happens if the ‘chute fails?”

I would even consider hang-gliding, as the ‘chute is already open before you leap.

I had a friend when I was younger who was the east coast hang gliding champion. He met his unfortunate end in a competition.

So hang gliding carries its share of danger.
