Forgive me if the answers to my questions are obvious. I’ve found it emotionally difficult to follow the coverage.

What’s the endgame of the protests? Are there specific demands that could be met? What policy changes would address a vague demand for “justice”?

Perhaps it’s just in my nature to look for something concrete.

The endgame of the protests is to get elected officials to take cops killing blacks seriously and do something about it. Before the protests started, before the video, the Minneapolis DA wasn’t going to charge the officer with anything. That is messed up.
