I’m arguing with an idiot who claims that raising minimum wage will kill jrrbs, raise prices, yada yada. Why do I bother?

My question to that shit is, if the cost of things is so tied to wages that raising min wage will cause prices to rise, why didn’t the prices drop on items that were made overseas by cheaper labor when the companies moved their operations there?

I asked this of a Werner ladder big wig when they were moving operations to Mexico from my hometown. He said the labor and regulations were better for them to lower the cost of production. So I asked him if the price of the ladder would come down. A funny look was my answer. Why does this marriage of wages to price only work in one direction?
