If anything, it would have sped up the Holocaust. Anybody who has spent even a few minutes reading up on the subject knows that one of the original impediments to orderly execution was the number of soldiers who refused to shoot unarmed civilians. Even threats of being executed alongside those civilians did little. They’d have had less compunction against shooting armed and rebellious Jews.
